11 Best Travel Apps to Download Before Your Next Trip

After backpacking for more than one year, exploring different countries in Europe and Asia, I made a list of all the mobile apps I used.
These little friends of mine will help you make the best of your time abroad, be it a weekend getaway or a gap year. From tracking your expenses to finding the best accommodation, here are 11 travel apps you should download.
Getting Around
Google Maps
I have played around with many different apps but I always go back to Google Maps. Before I arrive in a new city, I use it to save different locations like the address of the hotel, important touristic attractions, and cool coffee shops.
This way, I can easily plan my day by simply opening the app and see which places are near each other. Another thing I love about it is that I can download any map I want and use it offline.
Grab/Uber
I’m that one friend that will hit you with a “but we can walk, it’s not that far” line in pretty much every situation. However, sometimes a car that can get you fast to your destination is a gift sent from Heaven.
